How do I create a custom field in GetResponse?

Cross-device tracking is an excellent way to keep track of potential customers that sign up to your list on one device, but then make the purchase another time on another browser or device.

If you rely on email follow-ups to drive your sales cycle, cross-device tracking is critical to getting the most accurate stats possible to scale your traffic and optimize your business.

This article will show you how to create a custom field in GetResponse that allows you to store a unique visitor ID.

 1. In GetResponse, go to your contacts list (this can be done from the Tools menu or right at the top of the page.)

2. Then click on “Custom Fields".

3. From there, click on “Create custom field" to create your new field.

4. When creating the field, enter the value cmc_vid for the name, choose "Text" as the type, and choose “Line of text" for how to present or collect the custom field values.

5. Leave the check box at the bottom unchecked, and save the new field.

And that's it! You just created a new custom field in GetResponse!
