How do I use ClickMagick’s Shopify App to integrate my store?


The ClickMagick Shopify App provides unbeatable tracking and attribution for your store, as all visitor activity within your store is reported directly from Shopify to ClickMagick. There’s no manual set up and it takes just seconds to install.

 
Note: The Shopify App is NOT compatible with any existing ClickMagick tracking codes you may have manually added to your store. Please remove any and all existing ClickMagick tracking codes before continuing. Help me



Step 1 – Create a Campaigns Project

If necessary, create a new Campaigns Project. You need to have a Project for the store you want to connect.

If this is your first time creating a Project, you’ll be directed to the Website Code Wizard after you’ve created your Project. You can stop there, as our Shopify app will install your tracking code for you.

If you already have a Project you want to connect to your store, you can skip this step.


Step 2 – Install the ClickMagick Shopify App

Login to your Shopify store and install the ClickMagick Shopify App via the link below:

Just select the Campaigns Project you want to associate with your store, review the default settings, and click “Save.”

You can also toggle “organic” tracking on or off, specify if you want Tax and Shipping included in the order amounts sent to ClickMagick, and you can even set up COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) tracking if you want that reflected in your ClickMagick revenue-based stats as well.


Once installed, the tracking set up for your store is complete.

Simply promote your store using UTM-powered URLs and you’ll have unbeatable tracking for all your visitors and customers, all the way back to the original ad or link that brought them to your store.

All your incoming clicks will be tracked (including organic if you want), ”Add to cart” events will be tracked as Actions, “Initiate checkout” events will be tracked as Engagements, and of course all of your sales will be tracked as well.

ClickMagick will also track and apply any refunds automatically, and we’ll even track your recurring revenue from popular apps like Recharge and Appstle.

Note: Please note that events don’t happen in real-time on the Shopify platform.

If you change any of the settings in your ClickMagick Shopify app, it will take at least a few minutes for things to update on their end.

Similarly, Shopify doesn’t send your “Add to cart” events and sales in real-time. Most will show up in ClickMagick within seconds, some could take a few minutes, and when the Shopify system is “really busy” it can take even longer.
