How do I track conversions with ClickMagick?
ClickMagick supports the three “industry standard” ways to track conversions – Pixels, Postback URLs and Sub-IDs.
Whether you have your own sales funnel, or you’re an affiliate and you’re using their sales funnel, you would track your conversions using one of these methods:
Method 1 – Tracking Pixels or Conversion Tracking Code
This is the easiest way to track conversions.
And if you control your entire funnel, this is the best method for you.
All you have to do is add a piece of code to the page where you want the conversion recorded (such as a Thank You page) and whenever your visitors reach that page, it means that some type of conversion has happened such as an opt-in or a sale, for example.

Note that not all networks allow tracking pixels, so you might have to read on to alternative methods if you’re promoting one of those networks.
Method 2 – Postback URLs (Server-to-Server Tracking)
This method is generally recommended for affiliates who are promoting affiliate products, especially those networks that don’t support tracking pixels.
With Postback URLs, sales tracking is more complicated, but also more accurate and includes upsells, downsells and refunds - so we recommend this method if you’re willing to take the extra steps to set it up.

Method 3 – Sub-ID Tracking
This is generally the most complicated solution and no better than postback URLs… so only use this if your network doesn’t support the previous two methods.
This involves adding Sub-IDs to your original tracking link and then passing that information through all the way to your affiliate network.
You can then see which Sub-IDs resulted in the sale within the affiliate network report. To learn more, just read this article:
Method 4 – The Last Resort “Bonus Page” Workaround
And finally, if whatever you’re promoting doesn’t support ANY of these three methods of conversion tracking, you’ll probably want to use what we call…
This method also might not be accessible, but if available and the other three methods can’t work, it’s your best bet!
